LA ROCHE'S MAZYCK, PITT-GREENSBURG'S DURAND SHARE PLAYER OF THE YEAR HONORS

La Roche University senior guard Ayanna Mazyck and Pitt-Greensburg senior guard/forward Nadege Durand have been named the AMCC Co-Players of the Year.

Mazyck had her best season to date, as the senior recorded six double-doubles this season. She averaged 12.4 points and 9.2 rebounds rebounds per game while shooting 33.3 peseniorcent from behind the arc. Throughout the regular season, Mazyck scored a total of 250 points, and captured 171 rebounds, while also totaling 43 steals and four blocks.

Durand finished the regular season third in the AMCC with 16 points per game and seventh in the conference with 8.9 rebounds per game. Durand had 20 games where she scored double-digits, dropping a season-high 25 points twice this season. She also averaged 2.3 steals per game while having seven games with at least four steals.

Hilbert College sophomore forward Macy Kisner has been named the Defensive Player of the Year. Kisner defended the entire full court the whole time she was in the game, which was 35.6 minutes per game. She topped the conference in rebounds, with 11.3 per game with 7.4 of those being defensive rebounds, while also leading the AMCC in steals per game with 2.9. Kisner was named AMCC Player of the Week twice this season, averaging 20.5 points and 18.5 rebounds per game during one week and 15 points, 15 rebounds, and 4.7 steals the other week she picked up the honor. She led the Hawks with 20 rebounds (12 defensive) the night her team team broke the school record for rebounds in a game (74).

Newcomer of the Year honors goes to La Roche University freshman guard/forward Makayla Abram. Abram has been the consistency of this Redhawk team the whole season. In her rookie season, Abram totaled 13.3 points along with 6.8 rebounds per game. As a freshman, she netted 290 points during the regular season. She shot a consistent 50 percent field goal percentage, and played a total of 414 minutes during conference battles.

Penn State Behrend head coach Christine VanHook picks up Coach of the Year honors. VanHook led the Lions to a 20-5 overall record, as they went 14-2 in conference play and finished the regular season as AMCC Co-Champions.
