The La Roche University (20-6) women's basketball team defeated Hilbert College in the AMCC championship game to earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA national tournament. The Rehawks have been slated to play the No. 19 University of Chicago Maroons. 

The No. 19-ranked Maroons own a 20-5 record this season. They won the University Athletic Association (UAA) title to automatically qualify for the NCAA postseason. The team is making its fourth-straight appearance in the NCAA Tournament and ninth overall in program history.

La Roche will square off against UChicago on Friday evening, while the other first-round matchup will feature host Baldwin Wallace University (26-2) versus Haverford College (23-4).

The Maroons are led by Mia Farrell who averages 14.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game and Taylor Lake with 13.8 points, 5.7 rebounds per game, and 61 assists.

The NCAA Division III Championship bracket features 64 teams, which includes 43 conference champions and 21 at-large bids
