AMCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GAME OF THE WEEK: HILBERT @ PITT-BRADFORD

AMCC Women's Basketball Game of the Week:
Hilbert College @ Pitt-Bradford
Thursday, February 7 at 6:00 p.m.

The Hilbert Hawks are ready to compete in their fourth AMCC Game of the Week this season as they take on the Pitt-Bradford Panthers Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m.

Hilbert (16-5) established a new program win record by the 20-game mark.  The Hawks have grown to understand their roles on this year’s squad.  Four players average double figure scoring and are ranked nationally in Division III statistics while strong supporting performances by non-ranked teammates have propelled the Hawks to an 11-3 AMCC record. Senior forward Katelyn Proy grabbed top spot in D3 with 3.5 Blocks per Game and sits at #2 in total blocks. Junior forward Ashley Repine leads the AMCC with 52.6 percent field goal shooting while tossing in 14.2 ppg and grabbing 8.1 rebounds. Junior guard Taylor Corts appears nine different times with her highest ranking (21) in free throw percentage (87.0%). She continues to find her range on the floor for 15.5 ppg.  Fellow junior guard Emily Gawlak’s motor never stops as she averages 37.8 minutes per game (15th) while hawking opponents defensively the entire time.

Pitt-Bradford is coming off a hard-fought 68-63 road win at D'Youville Monday, keeping the Panthers in fourth place with a 7-6 AMCC record. Freshman guard Latifah Cain recorded her first career double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. The rookie is averaging 16.2 points per game in the last five games to lead the Pitt-Bradford scoring efforts. Additionally, senior forward Jennifer Isenberg has been the team's top player in AMCC action averaging 14.7 points per game and 7.9 boards per game.

The two teams met earlier this season on January 9, with the Hawks squeaking out an 85-79 overtime victory.
