Pitt-Bradford women's basketball senior Alicia Kimmel has been named a 2015 Division III Honorable Mention All-American.

The top Division II and Division III players are honored on the 2015 Small College Hoops All-American Teams.

The Division III awards were announced on March 23, 2015, among the selections was Pitt-Bradford's Alicia Kimmel. Kimmel was one of 67 Division III college athletes selected to All-American honors in the entire country.

Kimmel joins Katie Moore in the Pitt-Bradford record books as the only two women's basketball players to receive an All-American selection. Moore was named to the Honorable Mention All-America team in 2008.

She will add this prestigious award to the collection of accomplishments she achieved during this season. During her senior year, Kimmel was also named to the D3hoops.com Second Team All-Great Lakes Region, Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference selection.

Kimmel scored her 1,000th point on Nov. 15 and is only the eighth player in program history to score 1,000 points. Kimmel finished her career with 1,385 points, which puts her fourth for all-time points scored by a Panther.

Kimmel is also second in career field goals made (545), fourth in career free throws made (274), fourth in career free-throw percentage (73.3), fifth in all-time rebounds (643) and eighth in career field-goal percentage (46.8). She finished her senior season leading the Panthers in scoring (15.8), rebounds (6.9) and field-goal percentage (50.1).

Kimmel left her mark on the Pitt-Bradford women's basketball program leaving as the most decorated player in program history. In addition to her most recent accolades, she collected 58 wins, three All-Conference selections and a Conference Player of the Year.

Pitt-Bradford head coach Patrick Daniel said, "I am extremely happy and proud of Alicia being named an All-American Honorable Mention. Great achievement and recognition for one of the best players in Pitt-Bradford women's basketball history.  Such a great honor to coach Alicia the last three years."
