PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Alfred State INF Kailey Wonica recorded a .519 batting average and .667 slugging percentage in eight games last week. Wonica went 14-for-27 with 11 RBIs, two doubles and one triple and had 18 total bases. She went 2-for-3 with one RBI against Skidmore and 2-for-4 with two RBIs against Delhi. Against Brockport she went 3-for-4 with three RBIs. With bases loaded she hit a two-run single up the middle to tie the game and force extra innings. The Pioneers came back and won 11-10. In their 6-5 win over Me.-Presque Isle she went went 3-for-4 with 4 RBIs and three runs including a two-run double and a triple. She went 1-for-3 with one run vs Skidmore, 2-for-3 with one run vs Western Conn. State and 1-for-2 with 1 RBI vs Oneonta.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona RHP/1B Casey Reese had a great day at the plate in the Lions' doubleheader sweep of Penn State Harrisburg on Friday, as she went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored in game one, and the junior followed that up with a 3-for-4 performance in game two with three RBI and a run scored...Medaille C Abbigail Doherty earned herself a .440 batting average, a .448 on base percentage, and a .560 slugging percentage, as she went 11-for-25 at the plate with one double, one triple, six RBI's and six runs scored, with her best performance offensively coming against Lycoming College where she went 2-for-3 with two runs scored...PS-Behrend INF/P Maria Jones hit .500 in a pair of games this weekend, as she tallied four hits and scored three runs while stealing two bases in the sweep over Geneva, while also picking up the win in a 3-2 game-two victory, pitching 4.2 innings and striking out two as the closer...Mount Aloysius INF Whitney Cole made her collegiate debut for the Mounties in Myrtle Beach, picking up multiple hits in every game that she had more than one at-bat, while recording two doubles and driving in nine runs, which includes her best game, against Lycoming, when she had three hits and drove in five runs, which proved to be crucial in an 8-7 victory...Pitt-Greensburg OF Haley Liccketto went 2-for-5 with four RBIs against Waynesburg on Saturday, reaching base five times and hitting a three-run home run against the Jackets, recording batting average of .400 and an overall on base percentage of .625
