Alexa Haberer, D'Youville College, Women's Softball - Pitcher

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: D'Youville JR Alexa Haberer had another stellar week this past week in the circle, as she recorded her first career perfect game. Haberer began the week with a complete game in the 3-1 win over North Park. She pitched 7.0 innings allowing one earned run with one strikeout and three hits. Then on Wednesday against Alverno, Haberer pitched her first career perfect game in the 12-0 win. She went 5.0 innings pitched, striking out nine with no hits, runs, or walks. She then closed out the week by pitching 6.0 innings, striking out three. At the plate, Haberer tallied three hits with a run and two RBI. Haberer currently ranks second in the AMCC in ERA and wins and fourth in strikeouts.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Franciscan SO Sarah Keating continued her dominant start to the 2020 season, going 4-0 on the week with wins over Penn College, Lancaster Bible, Cairn, and St. Joseph, as she posted an ERA of 1.25 in 28 innings of actions and recorded 24 strikeouts while issuing just two walks...La Roche JR Alexa Young went a perfect 4-0 and picked up her first career save to help the Redhawks to a 6-1 record at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach last week, as she allowed just eight earned runs in 29.1 innings pitched and struck out 30 batters while walking just three...Medaille SO Sarah Hapeman helped guide the Mavs to a five-win week, earning the win in four of those wins, as she made seven appearances going 3-1 on the mound and in over 30 innings pitched she finished the week with a 2.08 ERA...Pitt-Greensburg FR Maddison Knepp appeared in two games on the mound this past week for the Bobcats and made one start, as she posted a 2-0 record in 10 innings of work, allowing just one earned run on 10 hits and struck out four...Pitt-Bradford JR Jordan Uhing had a strong week in Tucson, Arizona, as she pitched to a 2.67 era in four appearances over 21 innings pitched, including holding a no-hitter through five innings against the #4 team in the nation, Illinois Wesleyan, and also picking up a complete-game victory over Dickinson.
