PITCHER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona FR Josselyn Nau made six total appearances in the pitching circle last week in the Gene Cusic Collegiate Classic, including making three starts. She posted a 4-0 record with three complete games, compiling a 1.84 ERA and a .97 WHIP. She pitched 26 2/3 innings and struck out 16.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Wells FR Josie Krieman had a dominant performance in the circle in Wells' 15-0 win over York College, tossing all five innings of the game, recording 15 outs while facing only 16 batters, logging an impressive 11 strikeouts and only allowing one hit...PS-Behrend SR Kayla Lindberg picked up a pair of wins last week in Florida, as she pitched 21.2 innings and struck out 15, she threw two complete games, striking out eight vs. Husson and two in the win over Otterbein...Pitt-Bradford JR Meghan Kapp pitched a complete game in a 12-2 win over North Central, allowing two earned runs on three hits and a pair of walks, while striking out three, as she retired 16 of the final 18 batters she faced on the way to her first career win...Pitt-Greensburg JR Melanie Mienke pitched seven innings and earned the win in the Bobcats' season opening game against Beloit, she threw ten strikeouts and all three runs given up were unearend...Hilbert FR Kailey Stolowski went 1-1 last week, as she beat Wilson College with a complete seven innings allowing four earned runs and striking out seven, she then lost to Kenyon College throwing seven innings and allowing six hits and one run in a 1-0 loss...Carlow SR Clara Niglio was a constant in the pitching circle for the Celtics in Florida, going 15 innings - including a complete game win over Concordia Moorhead - to help lead Carlow with an average 4.5 strikeouts/7 innings and a 4.67 ERA.
