PITCHER OF THE WEEK: PS-Altoona SO Madison Peters had a hand in three of the Lions' four wins last week, going 2-0 in her two starts while recording her first collegiate save to protect the victory in another game. In game one of last Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of USCAA opponent Penn State Schuylkill, she pitched a complete game and yielded three runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out seven to record the victory. In game two, she entered in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded and recorded the final two outs to preserve the win and notch the save. In game two of Saturday's sweep at AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford, Peters pitched another complete game and allowed just one run on seven hits and no walks to go along with four strikeouts to record a win. On the week, Madison was 2-0 with one save, a 1.91 ERA, 14 2/3 innings pitched, and 12 strikeouts.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Behrend JR Kayla Lindberg threw two complete games, pitching a six-hit shutout against Hiram, as she fanned 13 batters and walked two while allowing two earned runs in a 1-1 week for a 1.00 ERA...Mount Aloysius FR Sierra Walters helped the Mounties earn a split against Penn State Behrend, in her only appearance of the week, as she tossed a complete game, allowing just one unearned run while only giving up one hit and striking out 12 Lion batters, which is a career-high.
