PLAYER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend INF Maria Jones tallied a team-best five hits with six runs and three RBIs in a 3-1 week for the Lions. Her best performance was a 3-for-4 showing with two runs and a double in a 4-2 win over Mt. Union. She tallied four runs, three RBIs and two hits in a pair of wins over Pitt-Greensburg Saturday.

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Bradford P/SS Kindra Wessels was a dual-threat for the Panthers, hitting .333 over three games played while pitching to a 2.10 era in two starts for the Panthers. In the Panthers' conference-opening doubleheader at Mount Aloysius, Wessels started the first game and played shortstop in the second. She took a tough 1-0 loss in the opener after giving up a run in the first inning without a hit. She pitched all six innings, allowing one run on three hits with two strikeouts. She also had both of the Panthers' hits in the game. She followed that up with a 1-for-4 performance in game two with a run scored.
