Kalie McHenry, D'Youville College, Pitcher of the Week

PITCHER OF THE WEEK: D'Youville SR Kalie McHenry finished the regular season with a 3-1 record and four complete games. McHenry pitched a total of 27.0 innings, striking out 17 and allowing one earned run and finishing the week with a .26 ERA. Against Hilbert on Wednesday, she pitched a complete game shutout, two hitter in game one with eight strikeouts. In game two, McHenry followed up with a one hitter complete game, allowing no earned runs. Not only did she get the job done in the pitching circle, she was dominate at the plate. Over four games, McHenry had five hits, five runs, six RBI, four walks and a home run. In game one against Hilbert, she had two runs, two hits, two walks, four RBI and a homer. Currently, McHenry leads the AMCC in innings pitched, strikeouts, complete games and wins, while she is third in ERA.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona JR Kate Burge went 2-1 with one save, tossing 22 innings, allowing 16 hits and giving up just two earned runs while striking out 20 batters and finishing with a 0.64 ERA...PS-Behrend SO Alexa Bupp made three appearances this week, resulting in one win in 11.2 innings, striking out 14 and recording a 0.60 ERA...Pitt-Greensburg SR Marley Lafferty helped the Bobcats clinch a spot in the 2016 AMCC Softball Championships with a gem of a win over Hilbert College, throwing all seven innings, giving up just three hits and one walk on her way to the 6-0 shutout victory...Mount Aloysius FR Morgan Rackish had a stellar week for the Mounties despite finishing with a 1-2 record by pitching 16.2 innings and ending with a 1.68 ERA...La Roche FR Hayley Lashinksky struck out 11 batters and had a 2.86 era in 14.2 innings, throwing a complete game shutout in a two-hitter against Geneva...Pitt-Bradford SO Taylor Collins tossed a complete game shutout, allowing just three hits while striking out one over five innings, finishing the week 1-0.
