Penn State Behrend junior catcher/infielder Shannon McDonnell was named the ECAC South Region Player of the Week for the week ending April 24, 2016. 

McDonnell hit .654 for Penn State Behrend last week, recording 17 hits and 16 RBIs. The junior smacked four doubles and two triples, and only struck out once in 26 at-bats on the week. She had flawless games at the dish on three occasions last week, including a 4-for-4 performance with four RBI in game one against Mt. Aloysius
