BEHREND'S MYERS EARNS ALL-REGION HONORS AT NCAA REGIONAL EVENT

The Penn State Behrend and Alfred State College men's cross country teams competed in the NCAA Regionals on Saturday, hosted by SUNY Geneseo, and had three runners finish in the Top-70.

Behrend finished in 14th place out of 22 teams, while Alfred State finished in 22nd place. 

Behrend had three runners finish in the top-70. Phoenix Myers finished first for the Lions with a time of 26:03.4. Myers also placed 24th, making him an All-Region selection. Freshman Kody Klein was the second Lion to cross and 64th overall at 27:22.0. Nick Temel finished 10 seconds behind Klein in 69th place at 27:32.4. 

Gavin Bathgate was the top finisher for ASC. He finished the 8k course in 28:25.1 to earn 99th. Ryan Weir was 130th (30:18.9), Andrew Hvisdak was 141st (30:58.7), Aiden Bonomo was 149th (32:45.3), and Jeffy Jijy rounded out the Pioneer top five in 154th (36:05.6).

Medaille College senior Nicholas Cicero and freshman Joshua Wolski competed as individuals. Cicero completed in the 8k for the men in 30:16 (135th), while Wolski finished in 32:45 (150th).

SUNY Geneseo placed first among all teams with five runners in the Top-10. Ryan Cory from SUNY Cortland was the individual winner, crossing first at 25:27.7
