ALFRED STATE'S GAVIN BATHGATE HEADLINES MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Alfred State College sophomore Gavin Bathgate has been named the 2020 AMCC Runner of the Year after finishing in first place of the AMCC Men's Cross Country Championship with a time of 18:29.06 in the 5K race. Bathgate's top time comes after he placed 10th at the 2019 championship.

Penn State Behrend freshman Chris Annear earned Newcomer of the Year honors after placing fifth with a time of 19:40.59 in the AMCC Championship. He was the top rookie finisher in the race. Annear, a freshman majoring in industrial and systems engineering from Fredonia, NY, is also a member of the track and field team.

Alfred State head coach Tim Giagios is the 2020 AMCC Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year. This marked Giagios first year coaching cross country at Alfred State, as the men's team improved one spot in the standings from a season ago. He also coached Bathgate to Runner of the Year honors.
