HILBERT MEN CLAIM SECOND PLACE FINISH IN EXPERIENCE EVANGOLA CROSS COUNTRY RACE

Buffalo State College took home top honors this afternoon at the Experience Evangola Cross Country Race hosted by Hilbert College as they claimed the men's and women's team title, along with top male and top female runner plaques.

The Hilbert's men's team posted 66 points which was good for their first 2nd Place finish this year. D'Youville College came in third place with 79 points, while Medaille College rounded out the AMCC participants with 142 points and a sixth place finish.

Buffalo State's Greg Avila-shah sprinted the 8K course in 29:03 as he led three other Bangles around the park.  Hilbert junior Adam Droz out-strided Mack Ottens (Keuka) and took a fourth place finish in 30:36, just ticks ahead of Ottens' 30:39.

Freshman Adam Connelly ran a good race in 32:36 (12th) which led three other team mates in the top 20. Sophomore Odin Patanzo (33:33, 15th), freshman Mitchell Rushok (34:50, 17th) and sophomore Logan Yotter (34:51, 18th) helped the Hawks to 66 points, which was 13 points ahead of D'Youville who took 3rd place.

The Spartans placed three runners in the top 20, including Brian Buttaggi (31:54) in ninth place, David Oswald (32:04) in 10th place, and Andrew Tantalo (32:27) in 11th.

Medaille's Antonio Cisternino led the Mavs with a 21st finish overall, crossing the finish line in 35:41.
