The Penn State Behrend men's cross country team finished first out of 10 teams with a score of 37 points on Friday afternoon at the 8K Behrend Invitational, while La Roche College finished in eight place with 242 points.

The Lions had six runners finish in the top 12 to edge past Gannon who finished second. Fredonia, Houghton, and Westminster took third, fourth, and fifth place to round out the top five team finishers.

Freshman Zach Wortman finished first for Behrend and second overall with time of 26:27.2. Senior Ian Griffith crossed the finish with a time of 27:20.9 and was closely followed by sophomore Chris Drozynski and senior Dylan Buffington who finished seventh and eighth overall respectively with times of 27:29.2 and 27:39.3.

La Roche freshman Kieran Hunt was the top finisher for the Redhawks, coming in 39th place with a time of 31:25.4.
