LONG LEADS FRANCISCAN TO SECOND PLACE FINISH AT W&J INVITATIONAL

Franciscan sophomore Nick Long led the Baron men's cross country team to a  second-place finish at the Washington & Jefferson Invite, Friday evening. Pitt-Greensburg, the only other AMCC school competing, took a 10th place finish.

Long took sixth overall with a time of 29:06.44, and was the fastest AMCC runner to cross the line. Today was the second race in a row that Long led the Barons and is his third-fastest time of the season.

Right on Long's heels was freshman Matthew Crotteau. Crotteau took seventh overall and the only other Baron to finish in the top-10 with a time of 29:07.29. 

Pitt-Greensburg sophomore Daniel Spanner led the Bobcats by placing 14th with a time of 29:42.54.
