BUFFINGTON NAMED TO ALL-REGION TEAM AT NCAA MIDEAST REGIONAL MEET

Penn St. Behrend junior Dylan Buffington was named to the All-Region team as he raced to a 33rd overall finish out of 351 runners at the Mid-East Regional Saturday afternoon hosted by DeSales.

The Penn State Behrend men's team finished 20th out of 52 teams with a combined score of 568, while Franciscan University finished 30th with 840 points.

Buffington, The AMCC Runner of the year, finished with a time of 25:57 while keeping a 5:14 mile pace in the meet of over 350 runners. Juniors Jake Parsons and Ian Griffith and senior Aaron Peters were the next three to cross the line for the Lions. Parsons' 26:49 time was good enough for 89th place. Griffith and Peters finished with times of 27:06 and 27:40, respectively, for 109th and 159th place.

Franciscan freshman Matthew Crotteau took 134th place overall to help the Barons to a 30th-place team finish. Crotteau finished the 8K race at 27:18. Sophomore Grady Stuckman was close on his heels as he took 137th at 27:21.Freshman AMCC Rookie of the Year Patrick Tansill took 148thoverall as he finished the course with a time of 27:31.
