#1 Mount Aloysius College and #2 Pitt-Greensburg each picked up semifinal victories to earn a trip to the AMCC Men's Tennis Championship, slated for Sunday afternoon.

Mount Aloysius went 2-1 in doubles play, getting W's from the No.1 pairing Caleb Beidle and Bruce Perow (8-2), along with No. 2 Cole Kazmierczyk and Adam Snyder (8-1). Despite a win at No. 4 singles for the Penn State Altoona duo of Dominic Lisanti and Kirk Eichenlaub, the Mounties got wins from No.1 Beidle (6-3, 6-4). No. 2 Kazmierczyk (6-0, 6-1), and No. 3 Perow (6-0, 6-0) in singles play to take the 5-2 victory and earn a trip to the conference championship.

The second match of the day between #2 Pitt-Greensburg and #3 Penn State Behrend started out in similar fashion as the Bobcats took a 2-1 lead after doubles play. Pitt-Greensburg No. 1 doubles partners Turner Price and Vaughn Hunkele won 8-6, while the No. 3 pairing of Andrew Oden and Francisco Garcia picked up the 8-4 victory. No. 2 doubles partners Mike Brudy and Belden Tuttle earned the 8-0 victory for the Lions to keep the score tight heading into singles play.

Pitt-Greensburg picked up two quick singles wins and Behrend grabbed three, before Hunkele and Behrend's Noah Colvin stole the spotlight. The Bobcats' Price got the 6-0, 6-1 victory at No.1 singles, while Kyle Glessner won 6-0, 6-3 at No. 6 singles. Behrend got wins from No. 3 Brudy (6-0, 6-0), No. 4 Matt Brown (6-0, 6-2), and No. 5 Belden Tuttle (6-1, 6-0). With the match tied 4-4, it was then that the No. 2 singles court of Hunkele and Colvin put on quite the show. Colvin started out strong, taking the first set 6-2 before Hunkele rallied back to take the second set 7-5. Both Hunkele and Colvin battled hard in the tiebreaker set, but it was UPG's Hunkele who outlasted his competitor to give the Bobcats the 5-4 edge and a trip to the AMCC championship match.

#1 Mount Aloysius and #2 Pitt-Greensburg will square off on Sunday, April 18 at 1:30pm for the AMCC Championship.
