FRANCISCAN CLAIMS THIRD CONSECUTIVE AMCC MEN'S TENNIS TITLE

After sweeping their AMCC opponents during the regular season, Franciscan University claimed their third consecutive AMCC men's tennis title Sunday afternoon.

Penn St. Altoona started out strong as #1 doubles partners freshman Geoff Zlobinsky and sophomore Adam Hack dealt Franciscan their first loss against an AMCC opponent, with an 8-3 victory. Baron doubles partners freshmen Jarek Sulak and John Gallagher, as well as freshmen Mitchell Plys and Connor Jooste picked up wins for Franciscan, for the 2-1 lead after doubles.

In singles action, Franciscan got wins from #3 Sulak, #4 Gallagher, and #5 Plys to claim the championship.

The Barons will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA national tournament, which will take place May 18-23 in Mason, OH.
