SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend SR Quinn Fischer won two individual events and swam on four winning relays to help the Lions capture the 2019 Oberlin Invite. He had a personal-best times in his two first-place finishes. Fischer won the 50 free (21.42) and the 100 free (46.89). He also took third in the 200 freestyle (1:44.70).

 

BEST OF THE REST:

Alfred State FR Westin Perry won two individual events over the weekend. He won the 100 back in 52.82 and the 200 back in 1:56.54. Perry also was 6th in the 200 free (1:47.62). Perry established new NCAA DIII era record in all three events. He was also part of three relays that established new NCAA Era records - 800 free - 7:20.11, the 400 free relay - 3:18.21 -, and the 200 medley relay - 1:38.59...SUNY Delhi SO James Brunt competed at the Delhi Fall Invitational and dropped 18 seconds off personal best in the 500 yard freestyle for 2nd place at 6:21.03, while finishing in 3rd in the 100 yard butterfly at 1:10.18, and 5th in the 200 yard freestyle at 2:17.55...PS-Altoona FR Taylor Bohn helped the Lions to a ninth place finish in this past weekend's Oberlin College Invitational, having a hand in scoring 165 of his team's total of 409 points in the three-day meet. In the 100 Backstroke, Bohn secured 20 points by winning the "B" final, placing ninth overall with a time of 57.27. He took 12th overall and scored 15 points in the 200 Backstroke, clocking in at 2:07.04. Bohn also competed in three relay events, swimming in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, and 400 Yard Medley Relay.
