SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend JR Will Perham set a new pool record in the 100 breaststroke on Saturday. He came in first place with a record time of 56.74, breaking a six-year old mark set by Chase Bietz (57.11). Perham also won the 200 IM for his second individual victory, touching in 2:05.7.

 

BEST OF THE REST: PS-Altoona JR Caden Traggiai had two individual wins while also being part of a relay first place during the Lions' home win over AMCC opponent Pitt-Bradford on Saturday. The junior first prevailed in the 1000 Yard Freestyle (10:11.20), then later in the meet, he placed first in the 500 Yard Freestyle after clocking in at 5:00.11, he then wrapped up his day by helping his team achieve first place in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, swimming the last leg and being part of his team's total time of 1:34.25...Pitt-Bradford SR Conan Young won two events in the Panther dual meet at Penn State-Altoona. He took the 200-yard freestyle by 7.3 seconds, finishing at 1:49.54. He followed that up with a victory in the 100-yard butterfly. In a tight race where all three competitors finished within .73 seconds, Young won by .12 seconds, posting a time of 57.08.
