SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Alfred State JR Westin Perry won four events along with one second place finish at the Oberlin Invitational. In the 400 medley relay, the Pioneers swam a 3:25.33, setting a new school record. In the 200 medley relay, the Pioneers finished first with a time of 1:32.74. In the 200 Free, Perry broke his own record again with a time of 1:41.80. In the 400 free relay, Perry and teammates swam a 3:08.08, beating host Oberlin by more than a second. Perry then came in a crucial second place in the 100 freestyle with a 46.95 time.

 

BEST OF THE REST: Pitt-Bradford FR Duncan Young picked up two individual wins, a 2nd place finish and helped to win the medley relay for Pitt-Bradford on Saturday as the Panthers defeated W&J in a dual meet 127-99. He started his day in the relay, where he dove into the pool for the butterfly leg with the Panthers trailing by three seconds, he swam his leg in 1:00.0, turning the deficit into a 5 second lead, which the Panthers would not lose. He also picked up wins in the 200-yard freestyle (1:56.66) and 500-yard freestyle (5:30.69) and took 2nd in the 200-yard backstroke (2:15.75)...PS-Behrend FR Anthony Tumino won the 100 backstroke and placed second in the 200 backstroke at the three-day Oberlin Invitational...PS-Altoona FR Adam Dotts had a strong showing for the Lions during the three-day Oberlin Invitational last week. As part of relay teams, Dotts and his teammates combined for a sixth place finish in the 800 Yard Freestyle Relay (7:34.63), an eighth place finish in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay (3:21.62), a ninth place finish in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (1:30.76), and a 10th place finish in the 200 Yard Medley Relay (1:40.89). Individually, the freshman took 13th place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:02.73), 20th place in the 100 Yard Freestyle (49.56), and 24th place in the 50 Yard Freestyle (22.71).
