Penn St. Behrend junior Dan Simon qualified for nationals in the 100 backstroke and helped the Lions increase its lead to 23 points through 10 events at the AMCC Championship held at Grove City College.
The Lions lead all teams at the AMCC Championship with 166
points. Penn St. Altoona continues its strong and stubborn
hold on second place with 143, followed by Pitt-Bradford (97) and
Cabrini College(70).
Behrend junior Dan Simon won the 100
backstroke in an NCAA qualifying time and new AMCC meet record with
a time of 50.01. Simon earned his second individual title and
repeated as champion in the 100 backstroke, while finishing first
overall in the entire meet.
