ALFRED STATE MEN'S SOCCER SEASON COMES TO AN END IN NCAA TOURNAMENT

The Alfred State College men's soccer season  has come to an end in the NCAA National Tournament game against Cortland 2-1. The Pioneers end the season with a 17-4-1 record.

Andres Mateos scored the Pioneers' lone goal in the second half, as Josh Price got the assist on the play. Alfred State GK Brayden Fox saw seven shots on goal and tallied five saves.

The Red Dragons scored the game's first goal in the 18th minute. They would add another goal in the 72nd minute for the 2-0 lead.

In the 81st minute, Price crossed the ball to Mateos who was streaking through the middle, and Mateos got in past the goalie inside the left post to cut the deficit to one, 2-1.

ECAC Recap:

The Pitt-Greensburg men's soccer team returned to the campus of Penn State Behrend to compete in their program's second-consecutive ECAC Tournament. This year, Pitt-Greensburg took on the Barons of Franciscan. Franciscan took the match with a goal in the 65', defeating the Bobcats 1-0. 
 
Both teams had eight shots in the match, however, the Bobcats were not able to record a shot on goal. The Barons recorded six of their eight shots on goal. Freshmen Matt Armenio and Kaleb Raymond led Pitt-Greensburg with three shots each. 
 
The Bobcats end the season with ten wins and their second straight season with a AMCC Tournament win and a berth into the ECACs.
