BEHREND HOLDS BACK MEDAILLE FOR EIGHTH AMCC CHAMPIONSHIP

Coming into the AMCC championship, #1 seed Penn St. Behrend laid claim to seven AMCC titles, while #2 seed Medaille College had six.  They went head to head in eight finals, with each winning four.  Neither were defending champions coming into today's game.

Their legendary rivalry continued for the ninth time, and in this one it was Behrend who emerged victorious, earning a 4-0 decision and an invitation to the NCAA Division III tournament.

Behrend senior forward Anthony Crivelli continued his hot playoff scoring touch, netting a hat trick for the Lions, while M Sean Gallagher got the fourth on a penalty kick.  Goalkeeper Chris Ralph got the win, making 6 saves en route to his ninth shutout of the season.

The NCAA will announce tournament pairings on Monday.  The AMCC all-conference team will be released Tuesday.
