FIVE MEN'S SOCCER PLAYERS EARN SPOT ON NSCAA ALL-REGION TEAM

Five AMCC men's soccer players were named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III All-Great Lakes Region Team.

Penn State Behrend senior defender Evan Augustine and freshman goalkeeper Chris Ralph earned a spot on the first team. Lion senior forward Anthony Crivelli and Franciscan junior forward Leo Herrmann were second-team selections and Behrend senior midfielder Sean Gallagher earned third-team honors.

Augustine and Ralph helped the Lions become one of the premiere defensive teams in the country this season. Behrend held a 0.57 goals against average, which ranks them ninth nationally, and the 12th best shutout percentage (0.59).

Augustine, who was recently named the AMCC and ECAC South Defensive Player of the Year, has yet another award to add to his accolades, being named to the All-Region Team for the first time in his career. He added two goals and an assist this season to go along with his excellence on defense.

Ralph put together an exceptional rookie season in goal for the Lions. He held a 0.62 goals against average, which was 13th best in the nation and a conference-leading .806 save percentage. He also posted nine shutout victories while only allowing 12 goals all season.

Crivelli lands a spot on the All-Region Team for the second consecutive year after making third team last season. He tallied team-highs in goals (12) and points (29) and was second on the team in assists with five. He tallied four game winners, also a team high.

Herrmann was named the AMCC Co-Offensive Player of the Year and was a first-team selection for both the conference and the ECAC All-Stars and now adds the NSCAA honor. Herrmann finished the year with 18 goals and five assists for 41 points this season. The junior set Franciscan's single-season goal record this year with his 18 goals and holds the Barons' record in almost every major scoring category including the single-game, season and career records.

Gallagher put together his best season in a Behrend uniform. He was recently named to the AMCC First-Team for the first time in his career and now has an All-Region honor to cap off his career. Over the course of the season, Gallagher scored seven goals and added six helpers for a total of 20 points. He also served as the Lions go-to guy for penalty kicks, going a perfect 4-for-4.
