WORTHY TABBED SCHOLAR ALL-AMERICAN

Penn State Behrend men's soccer senior Mike Worthy has been selected to the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Division III Scholar All-America Team.

Worthy is one of 33 Division III student-athletes chosen to the men's team. He is the program's second player to be named Scholar All-American, earning a spot on the third team.

Worthy was already named to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) first team and the Scholar All-East Region team. The finance major earned a spot for achieving a cumulative grade point average of 3.50.

Worthy finished his outstanding career on and off the field as Behrend's all-time leader in games played with 88.

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America recognizes select collegiate student-athletes as 2015 NSCAA Scholar All-Americans for their dual accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. To be named to a Scholar All-America Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) throughout his or her career; start more than 50 percent of all games and be a significant contributor to the team
