HERRMANN, HANN HEAD MEN'S SOCCER AWARDS

Franciscan University sophomore forward Leo Herrmann has been named the 2015 AMCC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Year. Herrmann followed up his AMCC Newcomer of the Year performance with an outstanding sophomore campaign. He led the Barons, and the league, with 17 goals, which set the program single-season record. He also led the team, and was third in the conference with eight assists, which also set the program single-season record. As a sophomore, Herrmann is the career points and goals holder at Franciscan. During conference play, Herrmann scored nine goals, including one game-winner, and handed out three assists. He finished the season with a .556 shot on goal percentage against conference opponents, and had a .560 shot on goal percentage for the season. The sophomore netted three hat tricks this season. He finished the season ninth in the nation in total goals and total points, and eighth in goals per game.

Mt. Aloysius junior goalkeeper Justin Hann has earned AMCC Defensive Player of the Year honors. The team captain led all keepers in conference wins with eight, tied for the lead with three shutouts, was second with an .830 save percentage and was second with a .89 goals against average. While starting every conference game, Hann allowed just eight goals in nine games and came up big when it mattered most down the stretch. His 10 wins in a season set a school record.

Mt. Aloysius freshman midfielder Thomas Sloan is the 2015 AMCC Newcomer of the Year. Sloan's play in the central midfield was critical to the Mounties success this season, as he tied for the conference lead with three game-winning goals in conference play. His six conference goals put him in a tie for fourth, as he led all freshmen in conference goals and conference game-winning goals. Sloan contributed eight total goals and four total game-winning goals, both of which led the team. He also added two assists for the regular season. Sloan helped the Mounties earn a regular season conference title and school-record 11 regular season victories.

Mt. Aloysius head coach Matt Davis picks up Coach of the Year honors. Davis, in his second year at the helm, led the Mounties to an 8-1 conference record and their first conference title in program history.
