The University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg is pleased to announce the hiring of Dan Keefe as the third Head Coach in the history of the men's soccer program.  Keefe's progression continues after ascending from assistant coach to associate head coach in November of 2014.

"We are very pleased to announce Dan as our Head Coach," said Director of Athletics Tony Berich.  "Dan played an instrumental role in the success of the program this past season and we are fortunate to have him to lead the program.  His knowledge of the game, work ethic and integrity will continue to guide the program in an upward direction and we are excited about the future of Pitt-Greensburg men's soccer under his tutelage."
 
During Keefe's first season at Pitt-Greensburg, the program posted a 12-7-1 record during the 2014 campaign, drastically improving the 3-16 record from the previous season.

The Bobcats also hosted and won their first postseason game in a decade.

Under the direction of Keefe, the goalkeeper corps cut their goals against average from 2.52 in 2013 to 1.31 this season and assisted in dropping their goals against from 49 a year ago to 27 during the 2014 season, ultimately leading to an All-AMCC selection for junior goalkeeper, Brandon Galley.

Keefe will take over all head coaching duties February 2^nd, 2015 and had the following comments about his acceptance of the position.  "I'm thankful for the opportunity and for the confidence that our AD, Tony Berich and the entire administration has in my ability to lead the program.  I'm excited to continue the success we've had in 2014 and look forward to taking this program to the next level."

Prior to arriving in Greensburg, Keefe was a member of the Seton Hall University men's soccer program in South Orange, New Jersey for two years, where he received his degree in Journalism.  He also served as Director of Goalkeeping for several clubs in central Jersey.  Originally from Hamilton, New Jersey, Keefe holds a National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Diploma.
