PENN ST. BEHREND CLAIMS SEVENTH AMCC MEN'S SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIP

As expected, the men's soccer championship game went down to the wire on a cold and rainy Saturday evening with #1 Penn St. Behrend defeating #2 Medaille 1-0 for their seventh AMCC championship.

Behrend's Anthony Crivelli scored the game's lone goal on a cross from Jimmy Belack with 14:33 remaining, marking his 15th goal of the year, and putting the Lions up 1-0.

Behrend finished the season unbeaten in regular-season and post-season conference play and will ride a 13-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament.

The Lions will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time in school history. The pairings will be announced on Monday at 1:30 p.m. during the Division III Men's Soccer selection show.
