PITCHER OF THE WEEK: PS-Behrend SO Derrick Shields threw a three-hit complete game shutout in game one against Pitt-Bradford on Wednesday. He fanned eight batters and walked one in to register his third win of the season. 

BEST OF THE REST: Alfred State SR AJ Gartland was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 7.2 innings of work this past week, as he appeared in two games (one start) and allowed just four hits and six walks while striking out eight...Pitt-Bradford JR Alex Miles was dominant in Pitt-Bradford's 13-2 win over Penn State Behrend, picking up the win in the second game of a doubleheader and shutting the Lions out for seven innings, allowing five hits and one walk while striking out six batters...La Roche SR Jake Seymour picked up his first career shutout in a 13-0 win at Hilbert last Thursday (4/8), as he struck-out seven batters, had no walks and allowed just six hits in six innings...Mount Aloysius JR Creek Miller threw 6+ innings, in a Game One victory over Pitt-Bradford, as he allowed only five Panther hits while giving up three runs (all unearned) and striking out eight batters in the victory...Hilbert FR Brendan Walsh appeared in a pair of AMCC games this past week, tossing 1.1 shutout innings of relief against La Roche on Thursday, then turning around on a day of rest to close out the final 2.1 innings against Pitt-Greensburg on Saturday in shutout fashion to earn his first career save; he finished the week with 3.2 innings of shutout work and tallied 5 strikeouts.
