AMCC LANDS SEVEN ON MIDEAST ABCA/RAWLINGS ALL-REGION TEAM

The AMCC landed seven baseball players on the Rawlings American Baseball Coaches Association Mideast All-Region Team, announced Tuesday. 

Pitt-Bradford catcher Austin Parent and La Roche College pitcher Tre Thomas each picked up their second First Team honors in as many days.

Penn State Behrend shortstop Scott Sada and Mount Aloysius College shortstop Matthew McCourt, along with La Roche outfielder Jonathan Spina, were all named to the second team.

Pitt-Greensburg first baseman Reno Rainey and Penn State Altoona outfielder Jim Shomberg each garnered third team honors.

The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.

ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. ABCA/Rawlings All-Americans will be announced on the evening of Thursday, May 24.
