La Roche Defeats Pitt-Greensburg on the Road

GREENSBURG, PA - La Roche men's basketball continued to get back on their feet by adding another win under their belt against the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcats on the road this evening.

The Redhawks had a little trouble finding their rhythm in the first half of the contest, at one point, the team was down by seven points. They managed to tighten up, and settle towards the end of the half and entered the locker room down by two points.

However, with a made three-point shot from Michael Brooks, assisted by the leading scorer, Devon Darrell, the Redhawks came to life. This was the first made bucket of what would be the team's 13 points-scoring runs to kick off the second half.

Darrell led the charge with 29 total points for the night, seven rebounds, and six assists.

Following his lead was Joe Pipilo with 15 buckets of his own.

La Roche was able to score 10 more points in the paint than their Bobcat rivals. One of the prime reasons for this was Jordan Grayson who recorded eight boards on the night.

This was a contest that saw four lead changes and five ties. However, with Brooks netting that very first three-point shot, and earning a total of 12 points for the night, the Redhawk momentum wouldn't have pushed them through to an 82-63 win over Greensburg.

La Roche will be on the road at Penn State-Behrend this weekend to take on the Lions for the second time this season.
