The College of Wooster, up three spots to No. 14 in this week's D3hoops.com top-25 poll, used strong outside shooting during the first half and then went inside successfully throughout the second in an 89-67 non-conference victory at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford Wednesday in Bradford, Pa.

Wooster (6-2) never trailed, accounting for the game's first six points and constructing a double-digit lead of 24-14 right around the midway point of the opening half. Fifteen of those 24 points came via 3-pointers, including two by Spencer Williams.

Pitt.-Bradford (3-5) then crept within five, followed by the Fighting Scots stretching the margin back to double figures with a mini 7-2 run, and they went into the halftime break with a 47-35 advantage. More than half of Wooster's first half points came via the 3-ball (8-for-15), and five different players contributed from outside.

After the Panthers began the second with a basket, the Scots reeled off 11 unanswered points – five from Evan Pannell – for a 20-point cushion (58-38) and it never got closer than 18 the rest of the way. Twenty-two of Wooster's 42 second half points came inside the paint, compared to just two 3-pointers.

The Scots threw a balanced attack at Pitt.-Bradford, as five players reached double figures, paced by Wiliams' season-best 15 points, which included 3-of-5 shooting from outside.

Also with multiple 3-poiners were Jalen Goodwin (2-for-3), Milt Davis (2-for-4), and Chris Logsdon (2-for-3). Goodwin finished with a season-high 14 points and Davis matched a career high with 12.

Upping his career best by one point to 12 was Alex LaLonde, while Pannell chipped in 11 in 13 minutes of court time.

Additionally, Josh Kipfer tallied game highs in rebounds (13) and assists (3).

Leading the Panthers was Keith Burgess with 16 points.

Wooster is now off for an extended stretch before hosting a strong field of teams at the annual "Mose" Hole/Kiwanis Classic on Dec. 29-30.
