Pipilo Sinks 29 Points; La Roche Earns Victory Over Hamilton

ROCHESTER, NY - La Roche men's basketball cut their Thanksgiving holiday short and braved the snow of Upstate New York to compete in the Harold J. Brodie Tournament hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology. In their first competition of the tournament, the Redhawks were successful in earning a win over Hamilton College.

Joe Pipilo led his team on offense, lighting up at the three point line. The senior earned a total of 29 points in tonight's contest, shooting 7-11 behind the arc. Pipilo also battled for 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.

La Roche dominated the court and only allowed two lead changes and one tie. In the paint, the Redhawks saw 34 points, and the team's defense allowed them to score 17 points from Hamilton's turnovers.

Devon Darrell and Mike Brooks both also showed up for La Roche this evening. Darrell netted 13, and Brooks earned 12.

The team will be back in action for their second game of the tournament tomorrow afternoon.
