Men's Basketball Closes out Senior Day with a Win

PITTSBURGH, PA - Men's basketball earned celebrated their seniors this afternoon, and along with it, a win against the Hilbert College Hawks. 

La Roche maintained possession of the lead for all but 47 seconds of the game. A large part of this was due to the offensive efforts by Devon Darrell. The senior shot 65% from the floor this afternoon for a total of 33 points, tying his season-high that he hit against Mount Aloysius earlier in the season. Darrell recorded 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist. 

Netting his season-high points this afternoon was Jordan Grayson. Grayson went 8-for-10; 5 of which came from deep, for a total of 21 points. The senior blocked 3 Hawk shot attempts and snagged 2 boards, 1 steal, and 1 assist. 

The Redhawks dominated in the paint, outscoring Hilbert in that area by 26 points. Michael Brooks had a large hand in this. Brooks recorded 14 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal; showing his versatility on the floor. 

Desmond Ross netted double-digits this evening to give himself a successful senior night. Ross earned 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist. 

The final score of tonight's contest was 88-74 in favor of the La Roche Redhawks. 

Men's basketball will be on the road for the remainder of the AMCC Conference regular season. They will take on Penn State-Altoona on Wednesday (2/15) at 7 PM, and Alfred State (2/18) at 2 PM
