Behrend Volleyball Wins Second Straight; Lions Defeat SUNY Potsdam

ALFRED, NY – The Penn State Behrend women's volleyball team defeated SUNY Potsdam 3-0 in the first match of the Alfred Saxon Classic on Friday night.

Final Score: Behrend 3, SUNY Potsdam 0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-13)

Key Moments:

* The win marks the second straight for the Lions to open the season
* As a team, Behrend registered a .320 attack percentage behind 40 kills on 97 attempts and just nine total errors 
* Keely Hering (North East, PA/North East) tallied her first double-double of the season with a team-best 13 digs and 10 kills
* Hering along with Sarah Cole (Stoneboro, PA/Lakeview) each had no attack errors and hit .500 for the match
