GROVE CITY, Pa. – The Grove City baseball team hit two home runs resulting in five runs to defeat Penn State Behrend 8-4 in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon at Jack Behringer Field.

Final Score: Grove City 8, Penn State Behrend 4
Records: Penn State Behrend (6-10), Grove City (16-6)

Game One:

* After two scoreless innings, Grove City used four hits to generate four runs for the lead that would not relinquish
* With two outs, the Wolverines two doubles, a single and a home run for a 4-0 lead
* In the top of the fourth, Chase Palmer (Brookville, PA/Brookville) drove in Mac Ciocco (Venetia, PA/Peters Township) with a single up the middle to make it 4-1
* Grove City added two more runs in the fourth and sixth inning
* Behrend tacked on another run in the fifth and two more in the seventh
* Palmer finished with three hits and four RBIs, ripping a two-run homer in the seventh
* The Lions went through five pitchers, starting Evan Bromley (Bethel Park, PA/Bethel Park)
* Bromley pitched 3.2 innings and gave up five hits, striking out in the loss
