
The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of men's & women's lacrosse, men's volleyball, tennis and baseball, and women's softball for the period running from March 17-23, 2025.
Baseball (Player): Pitt-Greensburg OF/P James Domer batted .800 (12-for-15) over four games last week, including a 1.333 slugging percentage. He led the Bobcats to a 3-1 record on the week, including two conference wins over La Roche. He tallied eight RBI and nine runs scoreed while hitting two home runs. His 12 hits led the team for the week and he recorded mulitple hits in all four games while also scoring at least one run in each game. His .508 batting average leads the AMCC, and his three home runs are tied for third in the conference.
Baseball (Pitcher): Hilbert SR Joe Reitebach earned a win and a save on the week. The senior right hander went four innings, allowing one run and striking out four to pickup the win at Alfred University on Wednesday. He then shutout Allegheny over the final three frames on Sunday, tallying five strikeouts, to earn the save in a 3-1 win.
Softball (Player): Carlow P/OF Megan Pollinger went 8-for-15 with a double, a triple, two home runs and four RBI this past week to help Carlow to a 3-1 week in nonconference action. She also drew two walks and stole two bases.
Softball (Pitcher): Carlow SR Haley Bicko went 2-0 in 12.2 innings of work last week for the Celtics. She recorded eight strikeouts in in the circle and also helped her team at the plate with three doubles and five RBI as Carlow went 3-1 on the week.
Men's Volleyball (Offensive): Mount Aloysius OH Matthew Franz led the Mountie offense this week, tallying 4.1 kills per set as the Mounties went 3-0. Franz would maintain a .342 hitting percentage across the games, now holding the sixth highest hitting percentage this season in the conference. Franz also sits at third in the AMCC for kills this season.
Men's Volleyball (Defensive): Mount Aloysius MH Jason Freed averaged 0.9 blocks per set last week for the Mounties, adding six kills and six digs as his team would go undefeated across three games. Freed currently sits at 5th in the AMCC for blocks this season
Women's Lacrosse (Offensive): La Roche A Alecia D'Urso continued her impressive freshman campaign in La Roche's 1-1 week. Against Franciscan on Wednesday, D'Urso picked up a pair of goals, an assist and a draw control. She followed up in Saturday's win over Trinity (D.C.) with a career high seven goals, another assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover. For the week, she recorded nine goals and two assists for 11 points. D'Urso now has 28 goals on the season to lead the AMCC.
Women's Lacrosse (Defensive): Hilbert GK Olivia Cleary had a fantastic week in net, with a combined 26 saves between two games. Against Elmira, Hilbert went 24-for-26 on clears, with many starting with Cleary's clears and communication. Cleary also had a very impressive 73.3% save percentage in the program's first win since 2018. She was the voice of the Hawk defense, only allowing four goals against Elmira. Hilbert has not held an opponent to four goals since 2017.
Men's Lacrosse (Offensive): La Roche GK/M Nolan Lynam was all-around impressive for the Redhawks, playing both in goal and in the midfield this past week. In the matchups against Hiram and Bryn Athyn in goal, Lynam stopped a combined 41 of 80 shots on goal that came his way, added four ground balls, while also going coast-to-coast to score a goalie goal against Bryn Athyn. In the Redhawks matchup on Saturday against Thiel, Lynam played in the offensive zone and scored five goals and added four more ground balls.
Men's Lacrosse (Defensive): Pitt-Bradford GK Evan Stack made 24 saves in the Panther goal as Pitt-Bradford dropped their home opener against Bethany. He stopped 61.5% of the shots he faced in the game.
Men's Tennis: PS-Altoona SR Casey Hess picked up his fifth singles win of the season on Sunday, when he defeated his opponent from AMCC opponent Penn State Behrend 6-4, 6-4 in the No. 1 match.
