The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) has announced its Athletes of the Week selections in the sports of baseball and softball for the period running from April 29-May 5, 2024.

Baseball (Pitcher): Alfred State JR Ryan Kinney made two appearances for the the Píos last week. He pitched 6.1 innings for an ERA of 1.42, and six strikeouts. He help the Pioneers secure a win against Penn State Altoona in extra innings holding them to only one hit and striking out two.

Baseball (Player): PS-Behrend INF Dylan Barnes went 4-for-6 (.667 average) in two games last week, recording two doubles, a home run, and four RBI. He hit his third long ball of the season and led the Lions with three runs-batted in against Mount Union in the regular season finale.

Softball (Pitcher): Pitt-Bradford FR Bri Heller was 2-1 with a 1.56 ERA while throwing her first career no-hitter for the Panthers last week. She struck out 25 batters over 18.0 innings. She threw a no-hitter with just two walks and 10 strikeouts in the Panthers win over Hilbert, and followed that up with a two hit, one run win over La Roche. She also chipped in offensively, hitting .429 with two runs, two RBI and two stolen bases.

Softball (Player): Pitt-Bradford INF Lexi Peters hit .409 with a home run, six runs scored, eight RBI, and a stolen base as the Panthers went 5-1 last week. In the 10-2 win over Mount Aloysius, she was 3-for-3 with a home run, seven total bases, two RBI, and two runs scored.
