AMCC 25TH ANNIVERSARY DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI SERIES: EMILY GOLDYN, MT. ALOYSIUS COLLEGE

Emily Goldyn ’19 was a four-year member of the women’s tennis team at Mount Aloysius College. She played in the No. 1 Singles and No. 1 Doubles positions for her entire career.

In her senior season, she was an AMCC all-conference second team selection and guided the Mounties to a runner-up finish in the conference tournament. The finish was the best of any Mountie women’s tennis team in program history. She was also named team MVP twice in her career.

While at Mount Aloysius, Goldyn was a double major in Criminology and Psychology, with a concentration in Forensic Science. She made the Dean’s List every semester, while being named Academic All-AMCC every year and graduating with a 3.95 GPA.

Goldyn participated in numerous community service and campus activities, while also holding several leadership positions throughout her tenure at Mount Aloysius. She participated in Habitat for Humanity, Giving Shoes through Tom's in Honduras, and a Dickens of a Christmas community event. As part of the criminology program at Mount Aloysius, she participated in mock interviews at FCI Loretto and served as President of both the Criminology Club and the Psychology Club. Goldyn also served as a campus Resident Assistant and was a Mercy Presidential Scholar.

As part of her education, Goldyn also served as an FBI Honors intern in New York, Pittsburgh, and Quantico, Va. She also interned with the District Attorney’s Office in Ebensburg, Pa.

In 2019, Goldyn became the first AMCC Woman of the Year from Mount Aloysius. She was then nominated by the AMCC for the NCAA Woman of the Year.

Following graduation, she accepted a full-time position as an Operational Support Technician with the FBI in Miami, Fla. 

 
The Distinguished Alumni Series is part of the AMCC's 25th anniversary where the conference will be recognizing former AMCC student-athletes who have excelled in their area of study. The Distinguished Alumni Series will run every Thursday throughout the academic year.
