Sue Cervi, the Director of Volunteers from the Buffalo City Mission, was presented a financial donation of $472.05 and 18 non-perishable food items by freshman Taghi Jolilov prior to the Hilbert College men's basketball game December 14.

Since the 2013-14 season, coach Rob deGrandpre has used his program's opening Tip-Off Tournament as a way to help the Buffalo City Mission.  Over the years' the Hawks Against Hunger Tournament has generated $1,532.00 in donations translating into 771 meals for those less fortunate.
 
With this year's efforts, 238 meals will be served - more than doubles last year's mark of 113.
