PENN ST. ALTOONA SAAC PARTICIPATES IN SAFE TRICK-OR-TREAT

Members of Penn State Altoona’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) got in the Halloween spirit while serving the community last week, participating in the Safe Trick-or-Treat event held on campus last Thursday.

The event, a longtime tradition that was unable to be held on campus due to the construction in and around the Adler Athletic Complex the past several years, returned to Penn State Altoona on Thursday, October 25. Safe Trick-or-Treat provides a worry-free, scare-free environment for local kids and their families to get dressed up in costume and collect candy.

An assortment of Penn State Altoona clubs and groups set up tables around the Adler Athletic Complex and the Stewart Athletic baseball and softball fields to distribute candy. The event drew a large turnout of local youth, decked out in their favorite Halloween costumes.

Penn State Altoona’s SAAC was represented by a group of Lions and Lady Lions athletes, who dressed up in Halloween costumes to hand out candy and greet kids and their families to campus.
