MOUNTIES' BAKER AND REED DELIVER VOLLEYBALL GEAR TO HONDURAS

Mount Aloysius volleyball coach Brianna Baker and junior setter Katie Reed were recently featured in a piece on the website 'Off the Block' for their work in delivering volleyball gear to children in Honduras through 'Off the Block's Assist' campaign.

The 'Assist' campaign started in the fall of 2014 and raised $750 through online contributions from the volleyball community. Those contributions went to purchasing a variety of volleyball gear, scoreboards, and other necessary items for children in Honduras. All of the gear was delivered by Baker and Reed as part of a recent service trip through Mount Aloysius College.

The gear was delivered to the Franklin Delano Roosevelt volleyball training center, which started a volleyball program in order to teach boys and girls in the community the sport while keeping them off the streets and away from negative influences.
