D3 WEEK DAY 4: MOUNTIES HEADLINE ACADEMIC ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM

Mount Aloysius College leads the 2025 academic all-conference team with 66.37% of their athletes qualifying, earning the Institutional Peak Performer Award for a league-record fifth time.

The percentage of student-athletes qualifying for academic all-conference honors is also an AMCC record.

The Mounties also captured three Team Peak Performer awards (baseball, women's lacrosse, men's soccer), which recognizes the team with the highest collective cumulative GPA in each sport.

Penn State Behrend was a mere three-hundredths of a percentage point behind Mount Aloysius, with a 66.34% qualifying.  The Lions earned Team Peak Performer recognition in the sports of men's basketball and men's tennis.  Last year's IPP award winner, Carlow University, placed third (65.24%) with five programs--women's soccer, women's volleyball, women's cross country, men's golf, and women's basketball--earning their respective sports' highest academic distinction.

Across the conference, 1,123 student-athletes achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher as of the Fall 2024 semester, earning the academic all-conference honors.

Seventy percent (781) of those individuals were tabbed Individual Peak Performers for earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher.  A special subset of those student-athletes were also selected for induction to Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society, which recognizes both academic performance, leadership and character for selected juniors and seniors.
