    Penn State Behrend junior outisde hitter Dillon Hildebrand has been named the AMCC Player of the Year for the second straight year, after sharing the honors a year ago.

    DeRue led the Tomcats to their first AMCC title and the program's first conference title since their inception in 2010. DeRue collected a team-high 29 kills in two matches as Thiel defeated Geneva 3-2 in the semifinals before knocking off top-seeded Wittenberg in the finals.

    The Wittenberg University men's volleyball team claimed the AMCC regular season title and earned hosting rights to the first-ever AMCC men's volleyball championship tournament since the conference has expanded to include four affiliate members.
  • Dan Downs, Penn State Altoona, Men's Volleyball

    Downs had a strong week for the Lions, helping his team go 2-2 in AMCC matches. In Wednesday night's loss at Geneva, he had seven kills, one block assist, and one dig. He followed that up by combining for 21 kills, eight total blocks, and seven digs in victories over D'Youville and Medaille. In Sunday's loss to Wittenberg, Downs had 10 kills, three total blocks, and three digs. On the week, Downs hit at an impressive .476 clip and totaled 47.0 points (3.4 points per set). He racked up 38 kills (2.71 kills per set), 12 total blocks (0.86 blocks per set), and 11 digs (0.79 digs per set).
  • Dillon Hildebrand, Penn State Behrend, Men's Volleyball

    Hildebrand averaged 4.27 kills in three matches for the Lions this week, while also breaking two program records. He had double-digit kills in each match, including a career-high 25 vs. Wittenberg on Saturday. Hildebrand also added 19 kills vs. D'Youville and 20 vs. Penn State Altoona. Hildebrand broke the program record for career service aces and kills over the weekend. 
  • Isaiah Brock, Wittenberg University, Men's Volleyball

    Brock led the Wittenberg service effort with five aces, planting 15 kills on 26 total attacks in two matches from the newly renovated 1929 Gym. The senior finished the weekend with a .423 attcking percentage, recording a .500 kill percentage to start the day against Hiram. Brock led the Tigers to a 2-0 record in AMCC play, sweeping both Hiram and Geneva 3-0. For the week, he averaged 2.50 kills/set, 0.83 service aces/set, 0.83 blocks per set, and 3.9 points per set.  
  • BEHREND'S PISANO EARNS 100TH CAREER WIN

    The Penn State Behrend (12-7) men's volleyball team posted their second win of the season over Mt. Union (8-19), defeating the Purple Raiders 3-1 ((25-14, 25-14, 23-25, 25-23) in non-conference action on Thursday night in the Junker Center. Lion head coach Phil Pisano recorded his 100th career coaching victory with the men's program.

    Patterson and the Tomcats went 2-0 last week as Patterson collected a team-high 26 kills in just five sets last week. Patterson averaged 5.20 k/s and hit .367 in Thiel's nonconference sweeps over Neumann and Mount Union. 
  • Matt Dickerson, Medaille College, Men's Volleyball

    Dickerson was very good for the Mavericks as they went 2-1 last week. Dickerson finished with eight kills in back-to-back 3-0 wins over Sage Colleges and Keuka College on Saturday and Sunday. He also added four blocks against the Wolves on Sunday morning, finishing with 11 total points in a 3-0 sweep.
  • Chance Hoffman, Thiel College, Men's Volleyball

    Hoffman collected 43 total kills to lead Thiel on the week as the Tomcats went 2-1 in AMCC play to sit tied atop the conference standings at 6-1. Hoffman earned a game-high 14 kills in Thiel's 3-1 win over Hiram College on Saturday. For the week, Hoffman recorded 43 kills (3.31 kills/set), 28 digs (2.15 digs/set), and 13 total blocks (1.00 blocks/set), while also averaging 4.2 points per set. 
  • Quinn McCracken, Geneva College, Men's Volleyball
    February 25, 2019
    McCracken led Geneva to a perfect week in the conference with three wins over Hiram, D'Youville and Medaille. He led the team with 33 kills (3.00 k/s) and 15 blocks (1.36 b/s), including 18 kills on a .556 hitting percentage against Medaille. For the week he hit .385 and also added 2.36 digs per set.

    Hildebrand led with 14 kills on 25 attempts for a .480 hitting percentage to help the Lions defeat D'Youville. He also added seven digs, two assists and two blocks. 
  • Quinn McCracken, Geneva College, Men's Volleyball
    February 11, 2019
    McCracken had another big week, helping Geneva to a 3-0 record. McCracken had 18 total kills, 3.60 kills per set, on a .333 hitting percentage in a five-set win over Mount Union. He also had a season-high 19 kills, 4.75 kills per set, on a .395 hitting percentage in a four set win over Wittenberg to move Geneva's AMCC record to 2-0. He also added 15 blocks and 24 digs over the three matches.

    February 04, 2019
    McCracken helped Geneva pick up its first-ever conference win on Saturday at Penn State Altoona. He led the team with 18 kills, including the final kill of the match in the fifth set, hitting .314 percent, to go with nine digs and five blocks. In the second match of the day against Keuka, he finished with 15 kills with an even better .370 hitting percentage, along with 12 digs. For the week, McCracken averaged 4.1 points per set, including 3.67 kills per set, 2.33 digs per set, while swinging at a .344 clip.
  • BEHREND'S SPRENTZ HITS 2,000 CAREER ASSISTS

    Penn State Behrend senior men's volleyball player Anthony Sprentz registered 32 assists over a pair of matches to break 2,000 career assists and help the Penn State Behrend men's volleyball team post a 2-0 record on the day.
  • Ashton Sellers, Wittenberg University, Men's Volleyball
    January 28, 2019
    Sellers made his way back on the court for the Red and White, earning All-Tournament Team Honors from the Juniata Tournament. Sellers collected 33 kills over the final two matches against Daemen and host Juniata. In three matches, he averaged 3.8 kills per set while swinging at a .333 clip.
  • Anthony Baronio, Geneva College, Men's Volleyball
    January 21, 2019
    Baronio helped the Geneva College men's volleyball team win its first two matches in program history and get off to a 2-0 start. In the school's first-ever MVB match, Baronio finished with a triple-double in the five set win over Adrian, finishing with 27 assists, 23 kills, and 19 digs. In two games over the weekend, Baronio recorded 28 kills (3.50 k/s), 40 assists (5.00 a/s) and 22 digs (2.74 d/s).
