Men’s Soccer Drops Regular Season Finale

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Penn State Altoona men's soccer team ended its 2022 regular season schedule with a non-conference matchup on Thursday night, when the Lions suffered an 8-0 loss to Lancaster Bible College at Funk Field.

The Chargers (12-3-3) got a hat trick from Devyn Kintzer and two goals from Hayden Walker to lead the way. Lancaster Bible put four goals on the board during the first half, then doubled their goal total in the second period.

Alexander Ferry (Warren, PA/Warren) made his 13th start at goalkeeper for Penn State Altoona (4-9-1) and recorded four saves while playing the first half of the contest. Parth Raval (Mumbai, India/Thakur Polytechnic) took over at keeper to start the second half and made two saves.

Penn State Altoona men's soccer will now prepare for the postseason, as the team has a first-round Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Tournament game this Saturday, October 29. The Lions, who have the fifth seed in the conference playoff tournament, will travel to face fourth seed Pitt-Greensburg at 2:00 p.m.
