Panthers Finish 4-0, Win Buttermaker Challenge.

Allentown, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Women's Volleyball team won both of their matches Saturday, finishing 4-0 on the weekend to win the Buttermaker Classic at Muhlenberg College.

The Panthers started the day with a 3-1 victory over Gallaudet. The Panthers jumped out to an early lead, winning the opening set 25-16, but saw their opponents strike back with a 25-20 win in the second. Pitt-Bradford responded with a dominating 25-12 win in the third set and closed the match by holding on for a 25-22 win in the fourth. 

Jordan Sitler led the line for the Panthers as she put in her most dominating performance of the season. Sitler finished with 13 kills on 21 swings, good for a .571 hitting percentage. She also was a part of 5 blocks, including 2 solo efforts. Sitler added a service ace and 4 digs as well.

Emily Cleveland had another strong performance, finishing with 11 kills. Tabitha Walker logged 45 assists in the match and added in 17 digs. After libero Kayla Maslowski exited the match with an injury in the 1st, Stephanie Carson stepped in and picked up 25 digs.

The Panthers followed up the win with another 4-set victory, this time, over Cedar Crest. This time, the Panthers were able to take the first two sets 25-17 and 25-22. Cedar Crest was able to extend the match with a 20-25 win in the third, but the Panthers closed the match with a 25-20 win in the fourth. 

Cleveland led the Panthers' offensive effort in the match, recording 22 kills. She also had 9 digs. Olivia Reese also had a strong performance, putting down a season-high 16 kills on 44 swings. Tabitha Walker set a new season-high with 47 assists. She also added 3 kills and 13 digs. Stephanie Carson had 5 service aces in the match and she also led the defensive effort for the Panthers with 27 digs.

The Panthers finished the Buttermaker Classic as the only team to hold a 4-0 record. It is the first 4-0 tournament title since 2010, a year that ended with the program winning the AMCC Tournament. 

Emily Cleveland had 66 kills in the tournament. She was named to the all-tournament team.

The Panthers are now 6-3 on the season. They will be back on the road on Tuesday as they face Keuka.
