ERIE, Pa. – The Penn State Behrend softball team moves into first place in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) with a pair of wins over Penn State Altoona on Saturday.

Game One:

Key Moments:

* Sierra Williams (Grove City, PA/Lakeview) had a pair of triples to generate three RBIs
* Williams gave the Lions the lead in the second inning and then again in the sixth inning
* Behrend grabbed a 2-0 lead in the second thanks to Williams' triple and Emi Curcio's (Perryopolis, PA/Frazier) sacrifice fly
* Brook Colledge got Altoona on the board in the fourth with a solo homer to left field
* The Altoona Lions added two more runs in the top of the fifth with a two-out rally for a 3-2 lead
* The Behrend Lions had five of their seven hits in the bottom of the sixth for four runs
* A Jocelyn McNany (Cranberry Township, PA/Seneca Valley) single, Williams triple and a Curcio double put Behrend ahead 6-3
* Starting pitcher Kayla Lindberg (Austinburg, OH/Geneva) walked her first batter in the seventh and then got the final three outs
* Williams went back to the wall to collect the final fly out to centerfield
* Lindberg struck out five and allowed one earned for her eighth win

* The Behrend Lions used two doubles and a single in the third inning to erase a 2-1 deficit and take the lead for good at 5-2
* J. McNany walked to start the third and Chloe McLaughlin (Greenville, PA/Reynolds) was hit by a pitch to get two runners on
* Petitte doubled down right-field line to score McNany
* Curcio tallied the second double of the inning to send home Petitte and McLaughlin, before scoring on an RBI single by Lexi Edgett (Frisco, TX/Lone Star)
* Altoona made it 5-4 with two runs in the sixth, but the Behrend Lions answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame for a 7-4 win
* Abby Tingley (Union City, PA/Union City) pitched a complete game for her seventh win
* Williams and Petitte had a pair of hits for the Lions
