Pittsburgh, PA - Today the Lady Redhawks head to Berea, Ohio to take on the Baldwin Wallace Yellow Jackets. 

Overview

To start the Redhawks have an overall record of 3-1, their only loss to Marietta, at Marietta (63-54). Most recently La Roche just took home the SpringHill Suites Tip-Off Tournament Championship. 

Their Head Coach is Kam Gissendanner who is in her ninth season as Head Coach at La Roche. 

Gissendanner has an overall record of 152-39 (.796) and a conference record of 118-10 (.922). Pre-Pandemic the Redhawks had just won the AMCC Conference Championship. La Roche was selected to finish first in the 2021-22 Coach's PreSeason Poll. 

Baldwin Wallace is walking into this game 2-1, their only loss to Hope (Michigan) in the Hope Tournament (83-55).

Makayla Abram is also another player to keep a close eye on. Abram is a freshman guard/forward. 

So far this season Abram has averaged 13 points per game. She also averages about 6.3 rebounds per game. 

For the Yellow Jackets the two players to keep an eye out for are Lily Edwards (senior), and Megan Hensel (senior). 

Edwards in three games has scored a total of 50 points, with an average of 16.7 points per game. She also had a total of 34 rebounds in three games, giving her an average of 11.3 rebounds per game. Edwards has a 55.6% field goal percentage, and a 66.7% percentage from the free throw line.
